I'm a master tailor/seamstress and own a company in Europe that make the textiles. We make the textiles for big name designers and I use the extra fabric that is left over from their orders to make them. Along with the shirts and blouses, I also make other period clothing.

Ready for Spring? I'm for sure. It's so exciting to just think of spring coming and seeing the new fabrics and spring colors already. I think we have had enough of this cold weather. Hopefully, you in the South and didn't experience much of it. Today we have frigid weather here in NJ. and I can't wait to get to the drawing board and sewing machine to use some of these exquisite fabrics.

The new colors this spring is lavender, yellows, periwinkle, and pinks. Are they pretty colors? Netting are going to be real big this year too. They look so pretty on sleeves and neclines/yokes. I have already received a nice size shipment from France and Italy and you can bet you will be seeing these fabrics on celebrities with the coming award shows on TV. I watch them just to see who is wearing my fabrics! It's so much fun to me. My husband just walks away as he is bored to death, lol

It's been a year now since I opened my own web page (http://www.queenoflace.com/) where I give free shipping and handling every day, no matter how small or large your pruchase is. I hated paying s/h when I purchased something. I guess that wasn't fair of me, but if I went to a store I would not be paying a shipping and handling charge. Agreed? So, this is what I did for my site. I also put free fabrics identifications and sewing & fabric terms free of charge. All you need to do is copy it to your computer. Just go to www.queenoflace.com and find the links on the left hand side of the screen.

I also have my ebay that has been active for 14 years now. I started out selling a yard of lace. I needed lace for my daughters outfit and asked my aunt to send me some lace for her. To my surprise she sent me a whole roll of it. That is when it all began. I made contact with our exquisite designers and agreed that I will sell the textiles from what is left over after their orders were filled. Previously, they had to pay for storage for these textiles. This freed them up and gave me a small income. My business grew and grew until I could actually use a storage building now for all of these fabrics, lol!

New items arrived and I have listed them on ebay and my web page. Not all of the same things are on both sites, so check out both places.

Coming in February...I will compile all the names of people who purchased from me during the month of February and on the 28th I will send them a notice of winning a 10.00 gift certificate. I will put all of the names in a hat and pick one. Should this campaign be successful, I will continue it each month. I will post the name of the winner here on my blog spot.

Here I'm again with the brand new 2010 Spring Designer Collection of Fabrics and Costumes

I have always loved getting a deal at any store, but I always have to drive there and even sometimes pay for a parking lot and bridge fairs. I have found out that by selling my designer collection of fabrics imported from all over the world, that I enjoy it even more when people write back to me being thrilled with their purchases and ask me how in the world I do it.

The answer to the question is that our family makes the textiles for designers and I get to sell the balance of what is left over. When I make peasant shirts, poet shirts and other costumes, it is strickly because I love to sew and a produce quality product.
